Contracted Security Services
We agree the duties, the hours and the reporting lines before deployment, then brief each officer on your premises and your expectations ahead of their first shift.
How we staff a site
Most clients start with one model and adjust as they see how the site behaves.
A consistent team covering agreed hours across the week. The same officers work the site on a set rotation, which means they know the premises and the people who use it.
Suited to sites where continuity matters and the duty pattern is stable.
Cover concentrated on the periods when the site is most exposed — evenings, overnight, weekends or holiday closures — with a documented handover between our officer and your team.
Suited to premises that are staffed during the day but need a presence outside those hours.
Additional personnel for a defined period: a refit, a busy trading weekend, a public event or a temporary closure. Booked in advance where possible, with the duties and hours confirmed in writing.
Suited to one-off requirements rather than a standing arrangement.
Duties
Duties are agreed with you before deployment and recorded in the site briefing. They typically cover the following.

Managing who comes onto the premises, and keeping a usable record of it.

Visible, timed patrols and a presence that discourages opportunist behaviour.

Written records so the next shift, and your team, know what happened.

Every officer works to a written briefing covering the premises, duties and escalation routes.
Sectors
Before deployment
Officers are selected against the requirements you set out — the nature of the duties, the hours involved and the type of premises. Where we cannot match a requirement properly, we will say so rather than fill the shift anyway.
Before a first shift, every officer receives a written site briefing and, where practical, a walk through of the premises with the operations supervisor who will handle the account.
Process
STEP 1
You describe the site, the hours needed and the duties involved.
STEP 2
We propose staffing levels, a shift pattern and the rate in writing.
STEP 3
Duties, handover and reporting lines are confirmed in the contract.
STEP 4
The officer is briefed on your site before the first shift.
STEP 5
Cover and records are reviewed and adjusted where needed.
Cover rates
Hourly rates for contracted personnel. The final rate reflects the duties, the hours, the location and the number of shifts, and is always confirmed in writing before deployment.
| Arrangement | Indicative rate | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Standard duty hours | From £21.50 per officer hour | Daytime cover, reception and access control |
| Evening and weekend cover | From £23.00 per officer hour | Out-of-hours presence and locking routines |
| Overnight cover | From £24.50 per officer hour | Sleeping or waking cover on site |
| Short-notice and event cover | From £26.50 per officer hour | Temporary or one-off requirements |
Tell us the hours you need and the duties involved, and we will come back with a proposed pattern and a written rate.
