Indicative rates, and what moves them

These figures are a starting point so you can judge the order of magnitude. Every quote is confirmed in writing before work begins, and the scoping conversation itself is not charged.

What affects the figure

The five variables

Number of learners or officers

Group sizes and staffing levels are the largest single factor. Splitting a large cohort into two sessions costs more than one large session but produces a better outcome, and we will say so rather than quote the cheaper option silently.

Modules or duties required

A single awareness session and a full readiness programme are different pieces of work. The same applies to contracted cover: a reception duty and an overnight patrol pattern carry different requirements.

Timing of delivery

Normal weekday hours are the baseline. Overnight, weekend and public holiday delivery or cover is quoted separately because it changes the staffing requirement at our end.

Location and travel

Travel time and distance are built into the quote where they are material. Long distances or multiple sites are costed explicitly rather than absorbed quietly into the rate.

Notice and flexibility

Dates booked with reasonable notice allow us to plan properly. Short-notice mobilisation is possible but carries a premium, which is confirmed with you before anything is booked.

How a quote works

Three steps, no obligation

STEP 1

Tell us the requirement

Site, duties, hours or learner numbers, and the dates you have in mind.

STEP 2

Receive a written quote

Modules or staffing levels, rates, and what is included — in writing.

STEP 3

Approve or adjust

Change the scope and we re-quote. Nothing proceeds until you approve.

FAQ

Questions about cost

Is there a charge for the initial conversation?

No. Scoping is not invoiced. We would rather spend twenty minutes establishing whether we are the right fit than quote blind.

Do you require a minimum contract length?

For contracted cover, no fixed term is imposed — arrangements run on the basis agreed in the contract and are reviewed periodically. What you will find is a minimum shift of eight hours, because shorter periods change how the shift has to be staffed.

What if our requirements change mid-engagement?

We re-scope and re-quote. Additional modules, extra hours or a changed shift pattern are confirmed in writing and approved by you before the change is made. We do not adjust an arrangement and invoice the difference afterwards.

Are the published rates the rates we will pay?

They are indicative. The figure that applies to you is the one in your written quote, which takes account of the five variables above. Published rates give you the order of magnitude before you speak to us.
